    1. How do we use cookies?

We also use cookies on our websites. Cookies are small files stored on your computer or mobile device when you visit one of our websites. We want to provide comprehensive information about our use of cookies.

10.1 Why do we use cookies?

The cookies we use primarily serve to ensure the functionality of our websites—such as the shopping cart feature.

10.2 What cookies do we use?

Most cookies we use are automatically deleted from your computer or mobile device at the end of your browser session (so-called session cookies). For example, we use session cookies to store your country and language preferences and your shopping cart across different pages of a browsing session.

We also use temporary or permanent cookies. These remain stored on your computer or mobile device after the browser session ends. On subsequent visits to one of our websites, your preferences and settings will automatically be recognized. These temporary or permanent cookies remain stored for periods ranging from one month to ten years, depending on the type of cookie, and are automatically deactivated after the programmed time. They help make our websites more user-friendly, effective, and secure.

10.3 What data is stored in cookies?

No personal data is stored in the cookies we use. The cookies we use cannot be associated with a specific person. When a cookie is activated, it is assigned an identification number.

10.4 How can you prevent the storage of cookies?

Most internet browsers automatically accept cookies. However, you can configure your browser to refuse cookies or to prompt you before accepting a cookie from a website you visit. You can also delete cookies stored on your computer or mobile device using your browser’s settings. If you choose not to accept our cookies or those of our partner companies, you may not see certain information on our websites, and some features that improve your visit may not work.

    1. How do we use log files?

Each time you access our websites, certain usage data is transmitted from your internet browser to us for technical reasons and stored in log files, also known as log files. This usage data includes: date and time of access to our website.

The analysis of log files helps us continuously improve and optimize our internet offerings, identify and fix errors more quickly, and manage server capacities. For example, we can determine at what times our internet offerings are particularly popular and allocate sufficient data capacity to ensure optimal usage.

    1. How do we use web analytics tools?

To continually improve and optimize our internet offerings, we use tracking technologies. Web analytics tools provide us with statistics and graphics that give us insight into the use of our websites. Data about website usage is transmitted to the corresponding server of the tool used. We use Google Analytics as an analysis tool, which transfers this data, including shortened IP addresses, preventing individual device identification. Google adheres to the data protection provisions of the "Swiss-U.S. Privacy Shield" agreement and has registered with the U.S. Department of Commerce for the "Swiss-U.S. Privacy Shield." (Information on the Swiss-U.S. Privacy Shield can be found at https://www.privacyshield.gov/Swiss-US-Privacy-Shield-FAQs). The IP address transmitted by your browser as part of Google Analytics is not merged with other Google data. Data is transmitted by Google to third parties only as required by law or within the scope of data processing agreements.

You can prevent Google from collecting and processing data generated by cookies and related to your use of the website (including your IP address) by downloading and installing the browser plugin available at the following link (http://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout). For more information on Google Analytics and privacy, visit http://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout or http://www.google.com/intl/en/analytics/privacyoverview.html.

    1. How do we use social plugins?

Our websites use social plugins, such as those from Facebook, Twitter, or Google+. The plugins are marked with the provider's logo and may include buttons such as "Like" or "Twitter" or "Google+."

When you visit our websites containing such a plugin, your browser establishes a direct connection to the provider's servers. The plugin content is transmitted by the provider directly to your browser and integrated into the website. The provider receives the information that you have accessed our website. If you are logged into the provider at the same time, the provider can associate the visit with your profile. If you interact with the plugins—for example, by clicking the "Like" button or leaving a comment—this information is transmitted directly to the provider by your browser and stored.

If you do not want the provider to collect data about you via our websites, you must log out of the provider before visiting our websites. Even if you are logged out, providers collect anonymized data through social plugins and may set a cookie. If you log into the provider later, this data may be linked to your profile.

If a login is offered via a social login service—e.g., Facebook Connect—data is exchanged between the provider and our website. With Facebook Connect, for example, this may include data from your public Facebook profile. By using such login services, you agree to the data transfer.

For the purpose and scope of data collection and further processing of your data by the provider, as well as your related rights and settings to protect your privacy, please refer to the providers' privacy policies.

If you do not want providers to collect data about you via these cookies, you can select the "Block third-party cookies" function in your browser settings. Your browser will then not send cookies to the server for embedded content from other providers. With this setting, some functions of our websites may no longer work.

    14. Payment Security

The data exchanged between you and us is encrypted using a 256-bit SSL certificate. This corresponds to the standard used by banks for their online transactions. You can recognize this by the URL address of Trisa Electronics AG, which begins with https://, where 's' stands for secured. In addition, an icon in the form of a closed padlock appears. Saferpay by SIX is the secure e-payment solution for processing online payments over the Internet. The certified payment platform ensures secure transactions for credit and debit cards for both the shop operator and the cardholder.
